Health Insurance

Pueblo School District 60 offers a variety of insurance options, including health, dental, and vision.  Insurance benefits are offered to all full time employees.  Currently our health insurance is offered through Kaiser Permanente, our vision insurance is offered through Eye Med, and Dental coverage is offered through Delta Dental.  Kaiser health insurance cards and Eye Med cards were mailed out in late December and early January.  Cards for Delta Dental can be accessed by employees via the Delta Dental website below. Flex spending cards (FSA) will be mailed in mid-January.  Please review our "Benefits at a Glance" brochure to see an overview of Insurance option.

TELEHEALTH:  Pueblo School District 60 continues to offer you Teledoc, an added medical benefit that allows you to resolve many of your medical issues - anytime day or night - through the convenience of phone and video consultations all for a $0 consult fee. Click here for more information.

E-DOCAMERICA:  Doctors Online provide 24/7 access to web-based answers to medical questions from an expert team of board-certified physicians, psychologists, pharmacists, dentists, dietitians, and fitness trainers. (Other services include physician-written weekly Health Tips, two Health Risk Assessments, a 3D Video Library with access to 250+ medical topics.

HEALTH ADVOCATE:  A personal health advocate is available to you and your covered dependents at no cost.  Your personal health advocate is a trained professional, typically a Registered Nurse, who understands the ins and outs of the health care system and how to navigate through it.  The personal Health Advocate helps you and your covered dependents coordinate care among doctors and medical institutions in various ways.

Your personal health advocate can help you translate benefits information, clarify medical conditions and treatment options, resolve claims and billing issues, negotiate payments, provide cost estimates, locate qualified providers, secure second opinions, schedule appointments, arrange for specialized treatments, research elder care and more.

Health Advocate is a confidential service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is available to your immediate family (including parents and in-laws).

COBRA: In 1985, Congress passed the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) that created the law that requires employers to offer former employees to continue with health insurance benefits for up to 18 months following termination, layoff, resignation, or retirement

COBRA benefits are available at the former employee's full cost plus a 2% administration fee.  Pueblo School District 60 uses Infinisource, a third party administrator, to facilitate compliance with COBRA notifications and collection of premium payments for Kaiser Health, Dental, and Vision insurances.
